1952 Volkswagen Beetle

Description: Selling my 52 Beetle. Part of me feels crazy for doing this, but I've had my fun with it and it's time to move on to something else. I've owned the car for 10 years. I have the birth certificate showing that it is a Max Hoffman car. The restoration on the beetle was finished in 2013. It is painted in it's correct color, Azure blue. The odometer was set to zero and is now showing 1,839 miles. It looks like it was restored yesterday. It's never been out in the elements, and I have only driven it to local car shows. I've trailered it to further away vw shows and it has won multiple awards. It has the correct, non synchronized crashbox and a 25 HP engine. The body and chassis match, but the engine is 3 months off. So it is a not the original engine to the car. Everything has been rebuilt. The semaphores pop up, but I am missing the metal bulb holder that goes inside them, so they do not light up. I changed the center brake light to the tail lights. The tail lights are now the brake lights. It has an abarth muffler on it, but I also have the correct single tip muffler. I have a folder of a few old pics of the car and letters dating back to the 80's. The Hoffman badge on the side is taped on, not screwed. I could go on and on, but I will just wait for the questions. Car does run good. Hiccups some when it's about 50 or colder out. Car brakes good and with the double clutching, it shifts good. I have been very meticulous with the upkeep on this car. I've changed the brake fluid and the fuel lines every 3 years. And I only run ethanol free fuel in it. Oil is changed every spring. I've changed the crashbox oil twice. Every 3 three years I have adjusted the valves. I grease the suspension every spring. I clean the underside and the inside of the fenders once a year. Car is super clean. I have issues....I know. The point is, it's been very well taken care of. Please ask any questions, I left a lot out. If you want to come see it, we can definitely set up a time.
