Description: This is a PSA 10 GEM MINT, 1977 Kellogg's #26 Rookie Card of one of the most colorful, unique, and beloved ballplayers of his era, and quite possibly of all-time, Detroit Tigers pitcher extraordinaire, Worcester, Massachusetts native, Mark "The Bird" Fidrych, who burst into the national spotlight and into the hearts of millions of fans around the country in 1976 through his extraordinary pitching and on field antics, winning the AL Rookie of the Year Award that year, while leading the league in ERA at 3.10, and earning the first of 2 consecutive All-Star recognitions. Sadly, Fidrych's career was cut short by an undiagnosed and untreated torn rotator cuff injury. Tragically, his life was cut short at the age of 54 in 2009 from an accident on his family farm in Northborough, Massachusetts. We always offer free shipping within the United States on graded cards. We will ship promptly to the winning bidder via USPS Ground Advantage, with tracking.
