Description: The_Authentic_Arrowhead_Store AGATE BASIN PIKE CO ILLINOIS This wonderful AGATE BASIN was found on the Cole Site in Pike Co Illinois and is an Ex Bill Pettit piece. It comes with a Jerry Dickey Certificate of Authenticity. Jerry calls this one an Angostura, but it is ground on the base and hafting area two thirds up the blade edge. This is nontypical of Angostura's. It is obviously authentic and shows nice use with great patination. It is made from a beautiful local material, possibly Burlington chert. There is no modern damage. Agate Basin points are Transitional Paleo in age, ranging from 9,350 to 10,550 years old! A beautiful, thin relic like this one will make an awesome addition to any authentic collection. It is better in the hand then the pictures would lead you to believe and will surprise you upon arrival! This is a fantastic artifact! Size 4.03 inches in length. A3 Please do not be afraid to make a reasonable offer on this or any of my items as I really do want to sell this stuff!
