This bowl came from the estate of a local art collector, and was believed to have been in the family for nearly a century. The bowl is in great condition, with only minor signs of age. Limited areas of wear around the delicate golden rim (refer to pictures). Mild paint deterioration around the rose leaf. A smattering of small dots around some of the hand painted details (dots of paint original to the bowl, I believe) and areas on the outside of the bowl where the artist touched the brush to the porcelain. Likewise, there are a few exceedingly small areas where gold gilt was applied to the exterior of the bowl. All signs of both the piece's age and handcraftsmanship.This is a large piece, measuring just an inch shy of 1 foot in diameter and weighing 1 lb and 7 oz. Due to its age and rarity, excessive bubble wrap and paper padding will be used to protect it during transit.
