This motor kit is designed to replace the old dual shaft open frame motors and factory universal couplings found in Fujiyama, Balboa, Hallmark, Alco Models, KMT, Samhongsa, Sunset, Trains Inc, Red Ball, Tenshodo, NJ Custom Brass and other brass manufacturers and importers. This motor kit will provide smoother low speed operation, A LOWER TOP SPEED, and reduced operating noise. If you have any questions, please contact me before purchasing this kit. This may save you the hassle of returning the kit. This is a high torque heavy duty dual shaft flat can motor, it has a 5 pole skewed armature. The motor measures 34mm long x 24mm high x 17mm wide. There are 2 solder terminals on the back of the motor for electrical connections. The motor shafts are 2mm in diameter and are 8mm long. With no load at 12 volts DC this motor draws 40ma and develops 9550 rpm, the stall current is 1 amp. This motor will start turning smoothly on 1 volt DC and it is very quiet when running at 12 volts DC. This motor is DCC compatible. The flywheels are 16mm in diameter and 13mm long, the flywheel shafts are 2mm in diameter and 19mm long. I suggest that you check the dimensions of the motor in your locomotive and compare them with the dimensions listed above to make sure that the new motor will fit in your locomotive before you buy this kit. The photo shows what the the motor kit will look like installed on an HO scale brass Hallmark Baldwin AS616 chassis. The second photo shows the contents of the motor kit. PLEASE NOTE!
