Description: Calling the Moose is a 1914 vintage Frederic Remington print. It is 10" x 13.5" in overall size and 8" x 13" in image size. It is from the 1914 art book "American Art by American Artists: One Hundred Masterpieces" and is in very good condition. There is a light diagonal crease in the lower left corner. Frederic Remington (1861–1909) was a renowned American artist, illustrator, sculptor, and writer best known for his depictions of the American West. Born in Canton, New York, Remington studied art briefly at Yale University before heading west, where he became captivated by the landscapes, wildlife, and people of the frontier. Remington's work vividly portrayed the life of cowboys, Native Americans, soldiers, and rugged frontier life.
