No circuit or transformer changes were necessary to adapt our original Germanium Preamp/DI into this rack-mountable version. Just like the original Germanium Preamp/DI, the Germ 500 uses classic germanium transistors in a class A transformer balanced circuit. The GERMANIUM 500 Series runs on high power, high current, and has a huge + 29 output before clipping.
