Description: This auction is for a Civil War Connecticut State Militia Coat Button Dug New Bern North Carolina. This button was found/dug by my father on one of his many excursion to Eastern North Carolina to metal detect for Civil War artifacts in the 1970's and early 1980's. Please see all photos for condition and details. I am calling this button a Connecticut State Militia Coat button because of the little detail that I can make out around the sides of the button. I am not 100% positive that I am correct. Please make sure you study all pictures. My father was an avid historian. He would study history books and maps to determine the location of battles and skirmishes in Eastern North Carolina. The button was found/dug on one of his many excursions. I believe that this button was found some where around the New Bern North Carolina area. I am selling the items for my mom who has dementia. All proceeds go to her for her use and care.
