(The production opened May 4th, 1931 at the Sam H. Harris Theatre in New York City and ran for 80 performances before going on the road.) ..... The musical which featured GEORGE GERSHWIN's "Rhapsody in Blue" starred ETHEL WATERS and featured VALAIDA, the BERRY BROTHERS, DUSTY FLETCHER, BESSIE DUDLEY, BLUE McALLISTER, AVIS ANDREWS, GENEVA WASHINGTON, ELOISE UGGAMS and CECIL MACK'S CHOIR ..... The backside is blank ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) The bottom edge was trimmed approx. 3/4" of an inch, there is minor creasing and moderate edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare program will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
