Description: Fertilome Fish Emulsion Fertilizer 16 oz 5-1-1 This natural, non-burning plant food will help supply your plant with the nutrients they need to develop greener foliage, a better root system, and a solid structure. Fish emulsion is a great fertilizer for your house plants, even your ferns and African Violets, potted plant, fruit trees, shade trees, it is even great for berries and vegetables. Application: Shake well before using. Houseplants, African Violets, and Ferns: Mix 0.25 teaspoons per quart of water. Use once every 10-14 days. Tuberous Begonias: Use 2 tablespoons per gallon of water every 3-4 weeks to maintain vigorous growth. Start feeding when plant is about 4" high and cease use about September. Camelias, Azaleas, Rhododendrons, and Other Similar Acid-Tolerant Plants: Use 2 tablespoons per gallon of water feeding at the end of blooming period as growth resumes. Use once a month thereafter for 3-5 months. Fuchsias: Mix 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. Use twice a month during the growing and blooming season. Chrysanthemums: Mix 2 tablespoons per gallon of water. Use every 2 weeks from about mid-April to mid-September. Orchids: Mix 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. Use once a month for adult plants and twice a month for seedlings. Lawns and Dichondra: Mix 1 quart per 30 gallons of water. Covers 300-400 square feet. Apply 2 or 3 times per year in addition to your normal feeding program to help maintain green, healthy lawns. Vegetables, Shrubs, and Berries: Mix 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. Use once a month during the growing season. Trees (Fruit, Shade, Deciduous): Use 1 pint to 1 quart per tree per year. Roses, Flowers (Annual and Perennial), etc.: Mix 2 tablespoons per gallon of water. Use monthly during the growing and blooming season. Transplants: Mix 1 teaspoon per gallon of water to give plants an immediate start. Note: This product tends to "set up". Shake vigorously before and after diluting. Dilute with warm (not hot) water. We have used several bottles over the years. They all "set up", especially around the inside of the mouth - like a gel. We use it because we like it. We also have a high-end landscaper that uses it for their special landscape jobs. AND the product does have an odor.
