Description: Houdini Metamorphosis ca.1895 Printing Plate Reprint from original plate MINT (No Reserve-Bid and the Item Will Sell) ITEM: tHIS IS A REPRINT OF THE Houdini Metamorphosis ca.1895 Printing Plate. The plate was found in an antique shop in 1994. The plate was about 8 by 10 1/2 inches. My friend Stanley Palm had an original Houdini broadside that had this image printed on it. I was able to compare multiple points on the plate with those n the broadside and they matched. This was the original plate used to print the broadside. We printed 200 copies of the plate, this being Number 5 of 200. Below the bottom red border is text: "Printed letterpress directly from an original Houdini electrotype printing plate for the Metamorphosis, circa 1895, by Darrel Hyder at SunHill Press, North Brookfield, Massachustts, in November 1994 for Robert A. Olson.This is Number... 5 ... of two hundred copies" DATE: 1994 reprint of a circa 189 original. SIZE: The red border is 8 5/8 by 11 inches. The overall size is 11 by 14 inches, printed on 245 Stonhenge Paper. CONDITION: All is in otherwise very Fine, almost Mint condition.
