Description: I've used the Lodge Dutch Oven but this Lodge Large 3.6 QT Covered Frying Pan is the bomb. It makes a huge amount of scalloped potatoes, casserole meals, fries meats and fish evenly with olive or coconut oil or butter, and bakes Dutch Babies. I've also roasted peppercorns in this for my pepper mill. It washes up best by allowing it to soak off any fried on mess from using oils to cook meat, usually just let the water sit for several hours and its ready to scrub with a soft sponge. If there is any left over staining that you don't like, work with baking soda to scrub then add a few cups of white vinegar to activate the baking soda that's been rubbed into the crevices. Do not use metal cooking tools inside the pan. There are cleaning products specifically for enameled cast iron pans, but baking soda and white vinegar do very well. Do not clean with steel wool. This is a great large pan at 14.5" wide including handles, a tad more than 11 inch diameter, 1/8 inch shy of 2.5 inches tall. Dishwasher safe. I've used this on the stove top and in the oven so the bottom does have some scrape marks as it is very heavy for me to try to lift without scraping. In the photos of the bottom you see water marks, it looks much better than it appears. You cannot go wrong with this pan. I have turned my back on all non enameled cast iron. enameled cast iron is just too easy to clean and care for, it never rusts and the food doesn't taste like iron.
