Description: Very early edition of this rather rare book. "Story of the Wreck of the Titanic" , "The Ocean's Greatest Disaster" Memorial edition. Copywrite, 1912 by L.H. Walter. Edited by Marshall Everett. 320 pages. Three things I notice about this book : does not have the name of the publisher in it that I can find, doe not have under the editor name "Special Introduction "women and Children First" by Rev Henry Van Dyke DD LLD which later was put in, and most obvious it has no picture of the sinking of the Titanic on the cover and never had one which all the released books had. After talking to a book specialist believe this may have been a sample copy given out to dealers etc. before the official release date of the book. Hardbound cover is in fair shape for its age, the pages are in very good shape and I see no markings in them. See pictures and thanks for looking.
