It's available in a variety of roll sizes and colours to match your decor. The film is self-adhesive and comes with a massive 8-year warranty. We can even computer cut the film to the exact sizes of your windows for you (see below on how to order this). The film creates a one way vision effect under the correct lighting conditions. It allows you to see out clearly, just adding a tint to the glass. However, people just see a mirror reflection of themselves when they start to look in. Now for the important part - reflective window films need at least a 3:1 light ratio for a true one way vision effect. That means one side of the window needs to be three times brighter than the other. This means the film normally only works during the day. It won't work at night time. It doesn't normally work on internal partitions or when the window is shaded. You'll usually have to tint all the windows in the room as well. What tools do I need? You will need a: Sharp Knife Tape Measure Squeegee with hard rubber edge Lint-free cloth or kitchen roll Spray bottle Slip solution - water and Johnsons baby shampoo or washing up liquid Metal ruler or something to help you cut the vinyl We have these tools available in our ebay store and we have some handy window film installation kits with everything you'll need to install your window film - click here. How do I install it? In order to be greener, we no longer include printed installation instructions. When you place an order we provide you with a link where you can view, download or watch our installation guides Here's a quick overview of how to install your window film. Cut the film slightly oversized Clean the glass thoroughly. Spray the window with a fine mist of the slip solution (standard version only) Remove the backing liner and spray a fine mist of slip solution on the adhesive. Fit the film to the window. Spray the slip solution on the top of the vinyl and squeegee it into place to stop it from moving when you trim it. Trim the film to the edge of the window. Squeegee the rest of the slip solution from under the vinyl and dry the edges.
