Her Grainer label is on her back shoulder plate which has small chips on edge. She has a kid leather lower arm (left has small tear). She has adorable boots, her left has small marks. Her body is stuffed cloth. There is crazing and rubs in her hair front and back. She has a small nose paint rub. There are three small paint chips on left cheek and lower lip. The dress is beautiful red satin and lace, but newer. Petticoat has staining. She has padding underneath her chest and an interesting bustle tied on. Sweet tiny bead necklace. All dressed up for Christmas! A fantastic piece of history to add to your collection! A little history on her maker, Ludwig Greiner. He was a German immigrant that settled in Philadelphia in the 1830"s.His patent was one of the earliest doll patents. This Greiner doll was one of the first patent dolls in the U.S. on March 30th 1858 marked No.8 on the back of bust. Charming doll!
