Description: A true piece of fashion history! Vintage early 1970s cape in heavy cotton twill done in a blue and white photograph print of the crowd at Woodstock in 1969. The original photograph was taken by legendary rock and roll photographer Baron Wolman who not only captured iconic scenes of Woodstock, but was well known for capturing images of Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix and so many others. This cape is held in the Met collection. Collared cape with raglan seaming and long metal zipper with a very appropriate silver toned metal zipper pull in a large peace sign. Long welted slits for arms. Unlined, no labels. Excellent condition. Fabric is crisp and clean, color is bright and saturated, zipper is smooth. The faintest hint of a yellow spot on front right chest. I have not laundered this. 35” long from center back neck to hem 37.75” neckline to hem, following the curve of the shoulder 33” across, measured halfway down
