Description: Gorgeous oil painting from 1947 signed and painted by Ethel Simmons. The still life is a fruit filled cobalt blue bowl on a table with a brass single candle holder, a few grapes on the side. She did a very good job with the highlights as well as the shadowing in this painting, very nice detail. Some wear and dirt / grime from age, also note some craqelure in this piece. This one measures 12" across by 10" high and is painted on masonite, will need and deserves a framing, please see pics this is the pieced we are selling.
