Description: Vintage footed bonbon dish/ bowl made by Fenton Art Glass Co. in the Silver Crest pattern. Has an unusual hand painted design that I am sure was done by one of the decorating companies of the mid-20th century, likely Abels Wasserburg, and probably in the 1950s. It has the popular pink and green Charleton Roses decoration in the center and around the sides, but also has an uncommon beaded enamel treatment and sage green painted floor, plus gold highlights around the crest edge. The bowl measures 6" in diameter and 2" tall and has the traditional crimped Fenton edge. The glass itself is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, but the decoration has significant fading to the center rose motif and the green floor, and gold loss on the beads and around the crest. Strangely, the roses around the sides are in good shape. In spite of the fading, this beading is a treatment I have never seen before on a Fenton piece, and it still makes a unique addition to a Fenton collection!
